The Lewisville Noon Rotary club last week honored Lorelai “Rory” Monkman-Lou as the April 2024 Student of the Month.
“Rory is an awesome young woman,” said Lewisville High School (LHS) principal Jim Baker. She has been in Lewisville ISD since kindergarten and currently is the Student Body Service Officer at LHS, he noted. She also holds memberships in the Student Council, Kindness Club, National Honor Society, HOSA, and SAPP. Monkman-Lou has more than 200 hours of community service, including helping with the Lewisville ISD Angel Tree, and is in the top 5 percent of a senior class of more than 1100 students. She plans to attend Angelo State after graduation to pursue a five-year master's in athletic training and has earned several scholarships.

Club president Eyad Salloum and incoming president Sue Bowman also recognized high school senior Triston Hollingsworth as the April 2024 Exceptional Student of the Month.
“Triston is going into cybersecurity,” and will be attending NCTC next year, said special education inclusion teacher Thomas Smith, who commended Triston’s parents for their support. “He’s full of energy” and routinely exceeds expectations for class assignments, Smith noted. The Lewisville Noon Club is delighted to honor these two remarkable students for their achievements and we wish them much success after graduation.
