Lewisville Noon Rotary goes shopping for those in need! The LNR is lead by David Seamans, and joining him this week is past president Melissa DeWitt, Steve Cox, Russ & Becky Kerbow, 2 folks from LHS Interact Club, and Dr. Buddy Bonner. Thank you Rotarians for always leading from the front to help those in need!
The March adopt a spot was another HUGE success thanks to our dedicated students from LHS. Rain or shine, these young energetic students show up with a great attitude to serve the community. Keep Lewisville Beautiful!
Lewisville Noon Rotary would like to give a round of applause to our LHS students 4-Way Test speeches. Morris Mims (pictured in the center) took 1st place and will advance to the district contest. 2nd place goes to Pedro Garcia (pictured on right) and in 3rd place Alexa Vargas (pictured on left). These students did a fantastic job, and we applaud their performances! Thank you to LHS Interact for sharing in the 4 way test for the things we think, say and do!
Thank you to Dr. Bonner, Stu and the great Interact Students from LHS for making this the greatest Adopt a Spot so far this year! These brave students cleaned up while dealing with the cold weather to make sure they were doing their part to Keep Lewisville Beautiful! We look forward to seeing you all back on Saturday February 6th at 8am.
I apologize about the late bulletin. We will be meeting in person and virtually today. Adopt A Spot will be meeting this Saturday at 8am. Please join us on the corner of 407 and Garden Ridge in the parking lot of CVS. I look forward to seeing you all at lunch today!

It is my pleasure to extend you all a gracious and hearty welcome to the 2020-21 Rotary Year. Without question, I am also excited, humbled and proud to take the helm in helping guide this great club’s future as your newly appointed President for the 2020-21 term. Let me further take this opportunity to thank our immediate Past- President, John Kazor and his capable Board for the exceptional leadership and service they have provided us in such a difficult past year.
As you know, we are currently in the midst of a global coronavirus pandemic crisis that few could have predicted the severity of pain and suffering it would present to our nation, business livelihoods, our families and also our Rotary Club. For months, we have now been quarantined in our homes adjusting to the new normal of commuting to our living rooms and joining a myriad of Zoom meetings. However, I am optimistic that this crisis may soon end for the better and provide us with opportunities for renewal and growth. Meanwhile, the health and safety of our members will remain my top priorities.
Finally, the Rotary Theme this year is “Rotary Opens Opportunities” and one of my goals will be to focus on further strengthening our club by encouraging young Rotarians to consider becoming our club’s future leaders. We have a challenging year ahead of us and I look forward to what we can accomplish together in continuing the Lewisville Noon Rotary tradition of exceptional leadership and service. Again, thank you my fellow Rotarians for your trust and confidence in handing over your club to my and great Board members care for this year.
Thanks to all our Patriot Flag subscribers for either renewing or adding flags this year. Memorial Day marks the first of 5 holidays when the Lewisville Noon Rotary with a big help from the Boy Scouts post flags at businesses in Lewisville. Rotarian James Lee recently snapped this photo with scouts putting out his flags this year. Thanks for your support, James!
