DG Visit & Recognitions
On July 18th, Rotary District 5790 District Governor Gerald Robinson visited Noon Rotary to talk about the coming Rotary Year.
DG Robinson shared the 2018-2019 Presidential Theme and how District 5790 will carry out that vision. He highlighted the significant return of dollars from Foundation giving. Robinson also asked clubs to focus less on meeting attendance and more on club engagement.
One notable comment shared by the governor related to District activities, was there will not be any membership or foundation seminars this year. The only District event this year will be the Evening with the Stars fundraising event, recognizing and encourage major supporters to continue their support of Rotary.
During his visit, DG Robinson made time to recognize Club President Melissa DeWitt for her successful completion of the President Elect Training earlier in the year as well as her new role as president of Noon Rotary.
Robinson honored several members with the Rotary People of Action recognition (pictured below). Check out the District 5790 People of Action Facebook page.
Further recognition came for the 2017-2018 Paul Harris Society (PHS) honorees. PHS members are those who have committed to giving at least $1,000 each year to the Rotary Foundation. Thank you all for your generosity and support of Rotary's foundation objectives.
