Rotarians Penny Glover, Tom Schwolert, and president-elect Sue Bowman were joined by ten student volunteers from the Interact club at Lewisville High School for this month's Adopt-a-Spot cleanup on February 3rd. In less than an hour, they gathered eight large bags of trash and made a big impact to keep Lewisville beautiful! The next Adopt-a-Spot cleanup will be Saturday, March 2nd. Volunteers meet in the CVS parking lot at the intersection of FM 407 and Garden Ridge at 9am and the service project generally takes about 30 minutes. It's just one more way the Lewisville Noon Rotary club demonstrates the impact of "Service Over Self."

 

Members of the Lewisville Noon Rotary enjoyed tasty nachos and good conversation at the club's happy hour event last Wednesday, January 31st. The social gathering was held at Drunken Donkey on 3040/Round Grove Road in Lewisville, and if the pictures are any evidence, a great time was had by all.

Golf committee chair David Seaman also will be holding the next BIG FORE planning meeting on Tuesday, February 6th, at 5pm. Whether or not you plan to join the Golf Committee, be sure to mark your calendars for this year's Lewisville noon Rotary Big Fore Golf Tournament on Monday, May 6, 2024. This year's fundraiser will be held at Oakmont Country Club and promises to be a fun and memorable event. We have set an ambitious fundraising goal this year, so our club can give even more generously to local charities and non-profit organizations in our community through Lewisville Noon grants.
