Way Back in July...
Members of Noon Rotary attended the Rotary International Convention in Toronto. The attendees were asked if they would share a few thoughts on the experience, and this is what we heard:
My experience was overall a good one. We met so many great Rotarians just wanting to make the world a better place one Community at a time. The Toronto area is my home town so I combined the trip with a Family and Friends visits.
The absolute best part of the trip for me was going to Niagara Falls with Jim Attrell & Steve Cox. I drove to Toronto so we selected a good time for a break. Getting to know these two after a 6 hour grilling from me was fascinating. Everyone is so unique and interesting! We had a nice Lunch by the Falls at a beautiful Café overlooking the Falls.
We also did a Harbor Boat Cruise with a few hundred Rotarians. We shared a table with Gerald Robinson our new District Governor. The evening presented itself with a beautiful view of downtown Toronto by the Lake at Sunset.

My Rotary International experience in Toronto was highlighted by sitting at the banquet table across from the President elect (with Steve) and getting to hear his thoughts on important initiatives.
The weather was great and Dirk and John joined Steve and I on several occasions including a visit to Niagara Falls and a dinner cruise around the Bay.
I was astonished at the number of booths displaying almost every initiative-for-good that you can imagine... Rotarians from countries around the world all headed in the same direction.. met some pretty amazing people...

Thanks for sharing a bit about your experience and for representing Texas and the Lewisville Noon Rotary Club in Canada!
