Speaker 9-4-2019
 
Bill Collins brought a great speaker to us last Wednesday, Kristin Clark.  Ms. Clark is a motivational speaker and expert in College Mapping - assisting folks, especially young people, in deciding if college is right for them and if so, what area of study they should consider. This is a fascinating topic and one that young people aren't particularly well prepared to decide.  Thanks, Kristin, for sharing your expertise!

Our speaker last week was non other than JaChel Redmond, CEO of Special Abilities of North Texas.  She brought along Jenna Kadjar, Program Coordinator, along with two very special A.C.E.S. (Adults Creating Excellence) to share with our club.  JaChel reminded us about the upcoming 'Denim, Diamonds & Dice' gala on September 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm. New Blue Badge!
 
Congratulations to Rick Tolhurst for receiving his blue badge at last Wednesday's meeting. Ric fits in very well with our club and is pictured above with our President-elect, Bill Lawrence!
Special Abilities of North Texas - Ice Cream Social
 
Members of our club recently held an ice cream social for the attendees of the Special Abilities of North Texas in Lewisville on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 1:30 pm.  We're not sure who enjoyed it more: club members or attendants!  A big Rotary THANK YOU to Blue Bell Ice Cream for providing the refreshments. Can you think of anything better on a hot, August afternoon?
